Whitehorse is the capital of the Yukon and has 27000 residents which comprises 90% of the population of the Yukon. It is settled by the Yukon river and is named after its white rapids.
The city had some great cafes and bakeries. It also has a great bike shop ( I heard) and a very good outdoor store on the main street called Coast Mountain( did some shopping here). Bought a new footprint and some dry bags.
I really liked the wall art and murals on many buildings in Whitehorse and their depiction of the First nation people, their issues and life.
