The night I arrived at Lake Louise, it began to rain and by the following morning it was chilly and overcast, having snowed in the peaks above. Nonetheless I was quite keen to cycle to Moraine lake, and I set off in the rain. The ride to Moraine lake is quite steep but since I had no gear, it wasnt as bad. By the time I reached the lake, it was raining heavily and I had to wait a while before stepping out to view it. It had turned quite cold and my wet gloves and gear made it worse. The lake itself was shrouded in mist and perhaps it wasnt such a great idea after all. It made a good reason to come back to Canada sometime in the future and spend time here! After walking the length of the lake I headed back to the café which seemed to be a good idea in the chilly rain. Nothing cheers like a hot cup of coffee and a sándwich. With my body feeling a bit warmer, I went out to the bike and descended to lake louise with my hands freezing through the wet gloves and my ears white as ice with the cold.
