Cycling Along the Han River Seoul – May 2015

The wonderful Han River trail is almost 40 kms long and is a biker’s and a sportsperson’s haven. The biking trails are well laid out and marked, and there are numerous open gyms and multi sport courtyards. It was a chilly but sunny morning and the ride was invigorating. My taxi driver dropped me off at one of the 17 bike centers, where one can hire a bike on an hourly basis. I had to surrender my passport at the center, as a security against the bike. I felt it was an odd request, and I did have a few anxious moments while I was riding, wondering if I had done the right thing!
