Beads of sweat rolled down my forehead, the afternoon sun blazing in all its glory, swathed its might on us as we ascended the mountain. I ignored the hot sun, and focused on my pedaling, my breath coming in short gasping for air in the rarefied atmosphere.

Cycling Along the Han River Seoul – May 2015

The wonderful Han River trail is almost 40 kms long and is a biker’s and a sportsperson’s haven. The biking trails are well laid out and marked, and there are numerous open gyms and multi sport courtyards. It was a chilly but sunny morning and the ride was invigorating.

Bikepacking Adventure in Alaska

The badge of a “cyclist” was earned in 2012 when I completed the epic Manali - Leh - Khardung La journey of 525 kms. The landscape and the voyage by a bicycle were so inspiring and life changing that the explorer spirit in me has been in a state of restlessness since then.

Quirky Venice Beach, California

When I first researched on LA, little did I know that it had a beach named Venice ! I called my daughter in Orange and sought suggestions on where to "settle down" for a few days - Santa Monica, downtown LA or....ahem..Venice Beach ! " Dad" she exclaimed, Santa Monica is niceeee..but Venice..is a bit shady !"
