In Big Creek, I met a very nice Canadian of German origin – Jan, who is a mining expert and even had a website quite similar to mine – miningquest.com! We shared a great evening and had breakfast together.
The ride to Watson lake was not very eventful, except for the stopover at the Nugget city campground. The staff there was aloof and perhaps the least friendly in the last 3000 kms!
The landscapes were of course brilliant. The climb to Watson lake was quite a bit at the end of a fairly long day!
After a night of rain, the day was quite sunny!
I ended the day at Watson lake and stayed for two nights at the Dragon motel. The idea was to rest and stock up on groceries for the long, hard ride down the Cassiar highway.
